Paul Jagger
Paul Jagger was a Quarterfinalist on The Great British Bake Off 2015 and has earnt himself the nickname as ‘The Baking Governor’ as he is a serving Prison Governor in Swansea.
Paul was known to be a true gentleman on the show. Paul received the only Special Commendation for his famous Bread Lion on Bake Off, which has had huge media coverage. Paul went on the win the Great Christmas Bake Off 2017 and showed his versatility in patisserie. He has also baked brownies for Princess Anne when she visited his place of work in Swansea.
He is a totally self-taught baker, has a passion for bread making and for intricate sugar work. He was also a Queen’s, Coldstream Guard and believes Real Men Cook, and wants to show that at any age you can start baking and has the ambition to carry on teaching this passion. Since being on ‘Bake Off’ Paul has supported many big events with food demonstrations and product support and has confidence in public speaking. Paul is still a serving Prison Governor and is developing a stylish wedding cake/ baking business.
Baking, and bread making has become something he really loves to teach. He has been asked to do special commissions of bread Sculptures for the Cake and Bake Shows in London and Manchester in 2016 and specialist cakes for events. He has made bread sculptures of Dobby from Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and bread Astronaut for KWS, one of the largest producers of grains. Check out his Instagram @pauljagger31! Its this love of doing intricate bakes, cakes that has know lead me into branching into chocolate, something I have always been highly interested in, and have began to develop, hopefully this will lead onto an online chocolate business in the near future.
