Winner of Two Gourmand World Cookbook Awards
Eleanor is a cook who loves to travel. She loves to collect and create eclectic, evocative recipes from around the world so she can travel from her kitchen when she's at home in London.
Her first book, Samarkand, was published in 2016. It was received to wide acclaim and named a book of the year by The Guardian and Food52's Piglet. It was also awarded the 'Food and Travel' prize in 2017 by The Guild of Food Writers. Eleanor wrote it alongside her friend and travel journalist, Caroline Eden.
Her second book, Fire Islands, charts the fresh and vibrant food of Indonesia. It is the winner of two Gourmand World Cookbook awards 2020 and shortlisted for the Edward Stanford Travel Writing awards 2020 which celebrate world-class travel writing.
Eleanor as also contributed to publications including BBC Good Food, Delicious, Olive, Food and Travel, The Independent, Traveller and Wanderlust, as well as being a judge for the Great Taste Awards and the Academy of Chocolate.
